What is the process for starting a renovation with Castlehaven Construction?
Our process begins with an initial consultation to discuss your project scope, budget, and goals. From there, we enter the pre-construction phase, which includes design, planning, and estimates. Once finalized, we schedule and manage the construction process to ensure a smooth and high-quality result.
Do you offer design services?
Yes! We work closely with designers and architects to bring your vision to life, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully planned.
How do you handle project timelines?
We provide a detailed project timeline before construction begins and keep you updated throughout the process. Our Operations Manager visits job sites daily to ensure everything stays on track.
How do you keep us updated every day?

How much will my project cost?
Pricing varies depending on the scope and complexity of the project. After our initial consultation, we provide a detailed estimate, ensuring transparency in pricing and expectations.
Do you require a deposit before starting work?
It’s not a deposit—it’s a pre-construction cost that covers the estimate, design, and planning phase of your project. The price varies depending on the scope of work, and this investment ensures a detailed and accurate proposal before construction begins.
Am I obligated to use Castlehaven Construction after the pre-construction phase?
No, there is no obligation to move forward with us after the pre-construction phase. The pre-construction cost covers design, planning, and estimating, and you can choose how to proceed once that phase is complete.
How does payment work once the job is in production?
Payments are scheduled based on project milestones. Depending on the scope of work, there are typically about 5 payments, starting when you sign the contract. Each payment is tied to specific project phases, ensuring that progress is made before the next payment is due.
Logistics & Materials
Can I live in my home during the renovation?
99% of the time, you can stay in your home during the renovation. The only exception is if you’re doing a second-floor addition, which may require temporary relocation for safety and structural reasons. We’ll discuss any potential disruptions during the planning phase to ensure a smooth experience.
Do you handle permitting and inspections?
Yes! We take care of all necessary permits and coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with local building codes.
Can I choose my own materials, or do you provide options?
Yes, you can choose your own materials! We will provide you with suggested places to look, and once your selections are made, we’ll handle all of the ordering for you. The only exception is appliances—we prefer that the company you purchase them from also handles the installation to ensure they are properly warrantied.
